Class Details

Call or drop by either studio to sign up. Tuition is paid at time of registration. All other necessary supplies (ie. clay, tools, etc.) is due the first day of class. Cost of supplies range from $50 - $75. Seating is limited. A 50% tuition refund is available for cancellations made at least 14 business days before the scheduled start date. Classes are for individuals aged 18 and above.

THROWING ON THE WHEEL

Explore techniques for centering, pulling, trimming, and glazing your pottery on the wheel. Perfect for beginners and returning students (ages 18+)

HAND-BUILDING

Use your hands and assorted tools to bring clay forms to life! Learn pinch, coil, and slab techniques while creating both functional and decorative pottery. Session includes glazing. Perfect for beginners and returning students (ages 18+)

Intermediate & Advanced Sculpting Course with Kirstin O’Mally


This 5-week course is designed for experienced hand-builders who have completed a minimum of two prior hand-building classes. Students will expand their skills through sculptural pottery projects, focusing on advanced techniques and creative expression.

Attendance policy:

Fat Cat Pottery does not schedule make-up or substitute class time.  Please make every effort to attend the scheduled class periods. 

Inclement weather policy:

In the event of adverse weather, please follow New Hanover County and Brunswick County Schools weather announcements for closures.  In the case class must be canceled, Fat Cat Pottery will make every effort to reschedule the class period missed at a time that works best for the students and instructor(s). 

 Cancelation policy:

A 50% tuition refund is available for cancellations made at least 14 business days before the scheduled start date.

WORKSHOPS

Our workshops are for Intermediate & Advanced potters only.

Each workshop and event are a one day session for 3hrs. Tools and clay are available to purchase, but are not included in the price. Workshops vary in price. Seating is limited, please call or email to sign up.
