    SHOWCASE

IF YOU NEED SOMETHING POSTED LET US KNOW, IF WE CAN WE WILL

  • Silk Screen Class

  •  Fat Cat Pottery http://www.fatcatpottery.com  If you are interested in taking a class on screen print pottery. Please call us at 910-395-2529 and let us know.
  • Class will include three handouts as well as the kit. Handouts cover where to buy supplies, more screens, etc., another one on tips on using the silk screens, especially on clay in it's various stages (green ware, bisque, etc), and several techniques to use the silkscreen's. A third handout has a list of websites showing silkscreened images on clay by ceramic artists around the world. If UV rays (i.e., sunshine) is present, we can make screens in the morning, then spend the afternoon trying the various techniques to get the images onto clay. If the sun is not shining, I will simulate the process of making the screens as a guide for you to make your own screens when the UV rays are available at home. We can then use my previously made screens to use in the afternoon.

  •

  • Because the kits are ordered in advance specifically for the number of students attending, we need to have a commitment in advance of those wanting to take the class. Please let me, or Mary at Fat Cat Pottery (see telephone, email address info on link above) know if you would like to attend this class.

  • Best Wishes
